Winner 2019 Ray
After all rounds had been played the leaders were Vinnie and Ray with Billy and Frank in close contention
Each players 2 worst nine hole scores were deducted from their total at the end of the week
The eventual winner was Ray with Vinnie talking second place.
All the games were great fun and hopefully will be repeated next year in the 2020 tour.
In the Team Match play Vinnie Kearney & Gerard Rice’s team were on 6 points and in the final scramble against all the odds they had a fantastic score so Vinnie & Gerards team were declared winners in the team event..

2018 Winner Gerry on 113 gross… nett 95
Rounds of 25, 24, 28, 36
After all rounds had been played leader was Gerry on 113points closely followed by Billy on 107 and Terry on 105 and the 2017 winner Frank on 98.
Since a players 2 worst nine hole scores were deducted from their total at the end of the week Gerry gained advantage by having 18 deducted giving him 95 while Billy had 19 deducted pushing him back to 88. Kevin however on the strength of a terrible round ,on a very difficult second day for everyone at Los Lagos, had 8 points deducted leaving him on 95 overall but he lost out on the count-back to Gerard who was the 2019 winner.
In the singles Gerard was very consistent all week but a terrific round of 36 on the final day at Los Olives secured him the win. Gerrys round was up there with Kevins 36 on day 1 at Santana which almost matched Terrys most remarkable round of 39 points on a tough Santana course in 2016. Frank could not match this pace but he had built up a commanding lead by day 2 but fell back on Miraflores
All the games were great fun and hopefully will be repeated next year in the 2019 tour.
In the Team Match play Billys& Gerards team shared the win with Vinnies&Dermots team team with 8 points each.
Past Winner 2017
2017 Winner Frank on 120 gross… nett 98
Rounds of 26, 30, 33, 31
After all rounds had been played leaders were Frank and Terry with scores of 120 gross followed by Gerard on 118 and the 2016 winner Dermot on 111. Since a players 2 worst nine hole scores were deducted from their total at the end of the week Dermot had 17 deducted giving him 94 while Gerard had 21 deducted giving him 118 Team points were still to play for in the Saturday scramble but it was cancelled because of rain.
In the singles Frank and Terry played superb golf all week and consistently delivered 4 great rounds. The most remarkable was the round of 39 points from Terry in a tough Santana course. Frank could not match this pace scoring 31points but he had built up a commanding lead on day 2 and 3 which was enough to see him over the line with a total of 98 as opposed to Terrys 97. Gerard played very consistently and was narrowly pipped for 2nd place by Terry when his two worst rounds of 21 were deducted. Dermot deducting 17 while Kevin deducted20. All the games were great fun and hopefully will be repeated next year in the 2018 tour.
In the Team Match play Billys team was on 9 points and in second there were two teams on 6 points and as the Saturday scramble was cancelled Billys team were declared winners.
Looking Back on Past Winners ..2016 tour
2016 Winner Dermot on 131 gross nett 106
After all rounds have been played leader is Dermot with a score of 131 followed by Kevin on 130 and Frank on 123. Since a players 2 worst nine hole scores were deducted from their total at the end of the week Dermot had 25 deducted giving him 106 while Kevin had 29 deducted giving him 101 Team points are still to play for in the Saturday. Points for the Saturday scramble will be as follows…7 for a win, 4 for a second and 3 for third with 2 for 4th. All still to play for.
In the singles Dermot played superb golf all week and consistently delivered 4 great rounds. The most remarkable was the round of 37 points in a tough El Chapperal course.Frank could not match this pace although he was in contention up to the final day. Kevin played very consistently and was narrowly pipped for first place when his two worst rounds of 9 were deducted. Dermot deducting 25 while Kevin deducted29. All the games were great fun and hopefully will be repeated next year in the 2017 tour.
In the Team Matchplay there are two teams on 6 points and one on 8 and one on 12 with a max of 7 points to be earned on Saturday in the scramble.
